Yesim, a Swiss brand, prices its Vietnam plans in euros with a wide range of sizes (1 GB to 30 GB over 30 days) and unlimited day passes from about 4 dollars a day. It does not name the Vietnamese network it uses, does not publish a daily cap for its unlimited plans, and a plan counts as activated the moment the profile is installed, which has cost travellers days before departure.

Yesim's strength is choice: six fixed sizes over 30 days and unlimited passes for any number of days from one to thirty. The 5 GB plan at around 11 dollars and the 10 GB at around 19 are in the market's middle; the 1 GB at under 3 dollars is one of the cheapest ways to get a day of maps and messaging.
Two things to know before you buy. Yesim does not say which Vietnamese operator carries its traffic, so we cannot tell you whether you will have Viettel in the mountains. And unlike Airalo or Ubigi, a Yesim plan starts when you install it, not when you first connect in Vietnam: install it the day you fly, not weeks before.
Unlimited passes are honest about one thing only: they say the operator may slow you down, without saying when. For a week or more, a 10 or 20 GB plan is the safer buy.
