Verdict
aloSIM is a Canadian brand with Vietnam plans on MobiFone only, from 4.50 dollars for 1 GB to 29 dollars for 20 GB, plus unlimited plans with no published cap. Its distinctive extras are 24/7 human chat and a free US or Canadian number through the Hushed app; its weak points are a single LTE network and a small, mixed review base.

- aloSIM is in our "checked monthly" group: prices, network, caps and promo codes are re-verified every month.
aloSIM's Vietnam catalogue mirrors the big brands: 1 GB for a week at 4.50 dollars, 5 GB for a month at 11, 20 GB at 29, and unlimited "Weekender" to "Month Abroad" passes from 12.50 to 79 dollars. The prices are fair; the plans themselves are unremarkable.
The reasons to choose aloSIM are around the plan rather than in it. Support is live chat with people, 24 hours a day. Most plans include a free phone number from Hushed, aloSIM's sister app, with a few dollars of credit: a US or Canadian number, useful for two-factor codes from home, not a Vietnamese one.
The reason to hesitate is the network. aloSIM's Vietnam eSIM rides on MobiFone alone, at LTE speeds, which is fine in Hanoi, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City and noticeably weaker than Viettel in Sapa, Ha Giang or the highlands. If your route leaves the cities, choose a multi-network or Viettel-based plan from the comparison table.

aloSIM in Vietnam: questions
Which network does aloSIM use in Vietnam?
aloSIM connects to MobiFone. That choice matters more than the brand. Viettel has the widest coverage, especially in the northern mountains, the central highlands and the islands; Vinaphone and MobiFone are excellent in cities and on the coast; Vietnamobile is weak outside the big cities.
Is aloSIM's unlimited plan really unlimited?
No. aloSIM applies a daily fair-use cap: Not stated. Light use is never affected; video and tethering are.
Do I get a Vietnamese phone number with aloSIM?
No. aloSIM is data-only: no Vietnamese number, so no Vietnamese SMS. Calls go through WhatsApp or your home line in roaming.
Can I share aloSIM's connection as a hotspot?
Yes
When does the aloSIM plan start?
The plan starts at first connection in Vietnam. Install it at home, keep data roaming off on that line until you land.
