Roamless is a pay-as-you-go eSIM: you buy credit that never expires and pay per gigabyte at the local rate, about 2.45 dollars per GB in Vietnam. It connects to MobiFone, Viettel and Vietnamobile, which gives it Viettel coverage that Airalo and Holafly lack. The catch is a smaller company, an app-only price list and refunds limited to incompatible phones.

Roamless turns the usual eSIM logic around: instead of a plan with an expiry date, you hold a balance and pay for what you use. For Vietnam the rate works out around 2.45 dollars per GB, which beats most fixed plans for light users and never expires, so leftover credit is still there for the next country.
Coverage is Roamless's quiet advantage. Its Vietnam eSIM uses MobiFone, Viettel and Vietnamobile; with Viettel in the mix it is a safer choice than Airalo or Holafly for Sapa, Ha Giang or the islands. The unlimited day passes (3.84 dollars for 1 day, 25.62 for 7) are capped at 3 GB a day then 1 Mbps, and say so.
The company is young and the complaints show it: eSIMs that refuse to activate after a phone change, and a virtual-number subscription that renews when people thought they had cancelled. Buy a small amount of credit first, install before you fly, and skip the number unless you really need it.

Installing a Roamless eSIM for Vietnam
- Check that your phone is eSIM-compatible and carrier-unlocked (Settings → About → "Digital SIM" or "EID" on Android, "Add eSIM" on iPhone).
- Buy the plan on Roamless's site or app and install it at home on Wi-Fi: scan the QR code or let the app add it.
- Label the line "Vietnam", keep your home SIM for calls and SMS, and turn on data roaming for the eSIM line only.
