Verdict
Saily, the eSIM from the makers of NordVPN, is among the cheapest big brands for fixed data in Vietnam (5 GB for 30 days at 10.99 dollars) and has the best Trustpilot score of the group, 4.7 on more than 32 000 reviews. It does not name the Vietnamese network it uses, and its unlimited plans do not publish a daily cap.

Best for
- Fixed-data plans at Nomad and Airalo prices, from a company with a strong support reputation
- Travellers who want 180 days to activate and a plan that starts on arrival
- NordVPN users who already trust the brand
Look elsewhere if
- You need to know the host network before you buy: Saily only says "the best networks in Vietnam"
- You want an unlimited plan with a published cap
- You need a Vietnamese number: the optional number is a US virtual one
What works
- 1 GB for 7 days at 3.99 dollars, 5 GB / 30 days at 10.99, 20 GB at 28.99: bottom of the market among known brands
- Trustpilot 4.7, 24/7 chat, 30-day refund for uninstalled plans, in-app refund centre
- Starts at first connection in Vietnam, 180-day activation window, top-ups, hotspot allowed
- Built-in ad blocker and web protection in the app
What to watch
- Host network not disclosed on the site (a third-party test reports Viettel and MobiFone, unconfirmed)
- Unlimited plans from 18.99 dollars for 5 days with an unpublished fair-use cap
- 5G not mentioned for Vietnam
- Complaints: setup steps that do not match the phone's menus, and no data on arrival until the line is selected

- Saily is in our "checked monthly" group: prices, network, caps and promo codes are re-verified every month.
Saily arrived late in the eSIM market and competes on price and polish. The Vietnam fixed plans line up with Nomad's: 3.99 dollars for 1 GB over a week, 10.99 for 5 GB over a month, 28.99 for 20 GB. The plan only starts counting when you first connect in Vietnam and you have six months to do so, so you can buy whenever the deal looks right.
What Saily does not tell you is which Vietnamese operator you will be on. Its page promises "the best networks in Vietnam"; one third-party field test reports Viettel and MobiFone, which would be a strong combination, but we could not confirm it and show the network as unknown. Likewise the unlimited plans, from 18.99 dollars for 5 days to 71.99 for 30, give no daily threshold.
Where Saily stands out is after the sale: the best Trustpilot score among the big brands, human chat around the clock, and a clear 30-day refund rule for plans you never installed. For a two-week trip in cities and along the coast, the 10 GB plan at 17.99 is a safe, well-supported choice.
