Dental emergency

115 Ambulance

For a serious injury to the face or jaw, heavy bleeding or a swelling that makes breathing or swallowing hard, call 115 or go to a hospital emergency department. For a toothache or a broken tooth, call one of the clinics below first.

This page is not medical advice. In a life-threatening emergency, call 115 or go to the nearest emergency department. Phone numbers and opening hours change: call before you go.

Check a clinic's licence

Every clinic and hospital in Vietnam needs an operating licence (giấy phép hoạt động) from the Ministry of Health or the city's Department of Health. Its number looks like 00477/HCM-GPHĐ or 670/SYT-GPHĐ and is often shown on the clinic's website or at its reception.

Before a planned treatment, look the number up in the Department of Health register (links below) and check that the clinic is listed as active at the address where you will be treated. Ask for the dentist's name and a written quote.

Travel insurance does not pay for planned dental work

Travel insurance covers sudden pain or an accident during your trip, usually up to a capped amount, not planned treatment such as implants, crowns or veneers: those are paid by you, in advance or on the spot. Check your policy's dental limit before you go.

        How we built this list

We kept a clinic only when three points matched on October 31, 2026: its official website (address, phone, languages), its operating licence, read in the register of the city's Department of Health and shown as active, and an embassy list that names the clinic or the hospital it belongs to. Clinics that failed one point were left out.

Being on an embassy list is not an endorsement: embassies give these lists for information, without guarantee, and some are old (their date is shown). We do not rate dentists, we do not publish prices we have not seen on a clinic's own website, and we receive no payment from them.
