  • Day 1Hanoi arrival
    Meet your tour guide on arrival at Noi Bai International Airport. Transfer to the hotel in city center and check-in. Hotel rooms may not be ready until 14:00 but an early check-in would be guaranteed with a surcharge. The rest of the day is at leisure. Subject to your arrival time, you may want to venture out to explore the city on your own or join one of our wonderful optional excursions in and around Hanoi, such as a walking tour through Hanoi’s Old Quarter for you first impression of Vietnam’s capital city.

    Day 2Hanoi City Private Tour Full day
    • Ngoc Som Temple
    After breakfast at hotel, tour guide and driver pick you up at 8:00.

    First stop is the Ho Chi Minh Complex - an important place of pilgrimage for many Vietnamese, which includes the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ba Dinh Square, Ho Chi Minh Museum, Ho Chi Minh’s Residence (his stilt house), One-Pillar Pagoda. Then take a short drive to the Temple of Literature, known as the first university of Vietnam.

    *** Ho Chi Minh Masusoleum and Museum are closed on Monday and Friday; so there will be alternative options if your departure day is on Monday and Friday.

    Continue the city tour to Museum of Ethnology. Have lunch at a local restaurant.

    After lunch, enjoy a leisurely one-hour cyclo tour around the Hoan Kiem Lake and Hanoi Old Quarter then explore the the narrow lanes and alleys of the Old Quarter on foot. As you explore the route below, stop for coffee at a local cafe or a storefront geared to tourists in the backpacker area of the quarter. Stop for a chat; folks are busy but friendly if you take the time to connect. Sitting in a small coffee shop in the sidewalks, sipping your iced coffee and see Hanoi’s streets is nothing as wonderful as it is. For many people, a cup of coffee is simply a crutch for the sleep-deprived but Vietnamese coffee, on the other hand, can teach you the feeling of linger. Hanoi’s coffee culture calls on coffee addicts from every corner of the globe!

    Activities: Full day exploring Hanoi. This morning see the city’s highlights; this afternoon enjoy a cyclo tour of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, learn about traditional Vietnamese architecture.
    Day 3Hanoi - Ninh Binh - Hanoi
    • Boat trip to Tam Coc
    Our bus and tour guide pick you up at your hotel then depart for Ninh Binh - a good base for exploring quintessentially Vietnamese limestone scenery. Arrive in Hoa Lu Ancient Capital, visit 2 temples of King Dinh and King Le. Then our bus will drive to Van Lam Wharf.

    Have lunch in a local restaurant near the wharf. Enjoy famous specialties thit de (goat meat) and com chay (scorched rice).

    Start the boat trip on Ngo Dong River to visit 3 caves of Tam Coc: Hang Ca (First Cave), Hang Hai (Second Cave) and Hang Ba (Third Cave). Each cave owns an unique scenery which will dazzle you as you get in. The leisurely sampan boat ride will take around 2 to 3 hours. Then cycle to Bich Dong Pagoda (2km ~ 15 minude ride) and sight see beautiful scenic pagodas, lush paddy fields, mountains, river and caves. In the afternoon, go back to Hanoi.

    Day 4Hanoi - Halong Bay
    • Transfer to Cruise
    Halong Bay is listed by UNESCO as a World Natural Heritage and voted as a Wonder of Nature by the New7Wonders Foundation. You will have a night staying in this world famous bay.

    Be ready for pick-up at your hotel lobby at 08:00. Halfway to Halong City we will have a stop at Hong Ngoc Humanitarian Centre. Apart from having clean western style toilet facilities we will be able to see local craftsmen at work and have time for relaxation.

    11:30 - 12:00 Upon arrival at the pier, embark on the boat and set sail on a cruise through the limestone cliffs and emerald waters of Halong Bay, taking in the spectacular scenery of this UNESCO World Heritage site.

    Lunch is served as you cruise by impressive rock formations with unusual names and shapes.

    In the afternoon you will start to discover Halong Bay, listed as a World Heritage of outstanding natural beauty, known in Vietnamese as “Dragon descending to the sea“. Depending on each cruise’s itinerary of the day, you may visit a beautiful cave, have some swimming at Titov or Soi Sim beach. Kayaking is available at a surcharge

    Accommodation: On-board an overnight cruise in Halong Bay
    Activities: Drive to Halong Bay where you board a junk for a cruise among the hundreds of islets of this magical World Heritage Site. Enjoy lunch and a swim. Drop anchor in the evening for an overnight stay among the dramatic limestone peaks.
    Our tour guide will not accompany aboard the cruise in Halong Bay. Resident English speaking guide on board is available.
    Day 5Halong Bay - Hanoi - Danang - Hoi An
    • Kayaking on Halong Bay
    Wake up by the sounds of the sea. After breakfast, cruise will take tourists to explore the most stunning caves in Halong. At around 10:30 boat starts cruising back to the harbor while brunch is served. We continue cruising through the bay, along the way seeing more of the fascinating formations.

    12:00 - 12:30 Back on shore we will then transfer by car to the airport in Hanoi to catch a flight to Da Nang. It will take about 1 hour 20 minutes on flight. Welcomed by our driver in Danang Airport then we will be transferred to hotel in Hoi An. Check in, free at leisure the rest of the day.

    Activities: Spend the morning exploring Halong Bay then transfer back to Hanoi. Transfer to Hoi An with a connecting flight to Da Nang.
    Day 6Hoi an - My Son Holly Land
    • My Son Holly Land
    The tour starts when you meet our English speaking tour guide at your hotel in Hoi An. Today we will drive toward the foothills of the mountain spine of Indochina. From here we’ll hike into the sacred valley of Vietnam’s most spectacular historic and religious site.

    Arrive at My Son Sanctuary. Dating back to the fourth century, My Son was the holiest site of the Champa Kingdom where over a period of 900 years, 68 significant Hindu temples, most dedicated to Shiva, were built. The towers are built of a combination of perfectly fitted, mortar-less, fired brick and elaborately carved sandstone bas-relief panels. Only 25 survived the centuries of pillaging by Chinese and Khmer invaders as well as U.S. bombings. Walk around with your guide for 2 hours to see the historic and cultural ruins, you will be brought back to the glorious time of the Champa civilization.

    Leaving My Son and explore the ancient town of Hoi An and its surroundings. Take a short boat ride across the river to a boat builder’s yard and woodcarvers. You will also visit a pottery and brick-making village. Return to the town for a discovery tour on foot through Hoi An Ancient Town which has been enlisted as a UNESCO World Cultural Heritage since 1999. You will visit some of the historic merchant and community houses, places of worship and famous bridges.

    Day 7Hoi An - Danang - Hue
    • Hoi An
    In the morning, guide & driver pick you up for tour today. We get transfer for about 3 hours from Hoi An to Hue. Along the way we will stop in the proximity of Da Nang for photo of the “best coastal way” Hai Van Pass, visiting Marble Mountain - named as 5 elements of universe, stone carving village of Hoa Hai or Cham museum for a glimpse into Cham Kingdom once dominated across Indochina.

    Around noon, have lunch in a local restaurant.

    We arrive Hue in the evening. Check in hotel for relax and rest of day.

    Day 8Hue City Tour Full Day
    • Khải Định Tomb
    Pick up at hotel in Hue. Start tour with a boat trip on the Perfume River to visit the Thien Mu Pagoda, one of the symbols of Hue. Continue by exploring Hue Citadel - situated on the Northern bank of the Perfume River and built by Emperor Gia Long. It was designed for the exclusive use of the royal family.

    Then we take a short drive into the river where seven tombs were built for seven Nguyen emperors. Each is an expression of the unique personality of the man whose remains it holds and each is comprised of three elements: a temple dedicated to the worship of the deceased emperor and his queen, a stone stele that records the biographical and historical high points of his life, and the royal tomb itself. In this tour, we will visit Minh Mang Tomb (tomb of Emperor Minh Mang) and Khai Dinh Tomb (tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh). After that, drive outside of town for lunch of classic Hue cuisine at a restaurant in beautiful garden setting.

    Day 9Hue - Ho Chi Minh City
    • Notre Dame Cathedral
    Free at leisure until being picked up and transferred to Hue Airport by our driver for your flight to Ho Chi Minh City or Saigon. It takes about 1 hour 20 minutes from Hue to the Southern hub Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival at the airport, meet our driver. Transfer to hotel in Saigon. Check in and relax.

    Guide & driver pick up at your hotel. Start our city tour. Take part in tour, you will visit some typical interesting sights of Ho Chi Minh City such as: War Remnants Museum (or History Museum), Reunification Palace, Saigon Center Post Office.

    Activities: Transfer from Hue to HCM City by plane. Half day city tour in the afternoon, visit typical interesting sights of Saigon.
    Day 10Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta
    • Floating Market
    The mighty Mekong empties to the Eastern Sea through nine estuaries with two biggest ones called as Tien River and Hau River that form the fertile land known as the Mekong River Delta. Visiting the region you will be amazed by the view of endless paddy fields, the waterway system and the lush green fruit orchards.

    Your journey will take you to Ben Tre for a day exploring the Mekong Delta. Activities of the day include a scenic boat trip on Mekong River to an island where local handicraft and coconut candy are being produced, a short ride on a horse carriage, visit to a typical local house by bike (if requested), tasting some local produce such as homemade honey-tea, fresh seasonal fruits and enjoying traditional music performed by local artists. One of the highlights of the tour is a ride by small sampan boat through the small canals and side-arms of the “Mighty Mekong” to observe the daily life along the river banks.

    Enjoy lunch with local delicacies before heading back to Ho Chi Minh City. You have all rest of the day explore the city on your own.

    Day 11Ho Chi Minh Departure
    Have leisure time before your departure. You are welcome to join our interesting optional excursions in and around Ho Chi Minh City, such as our Good Morning Saigon! tour. Please note that hotel check-out time is at 12:00. A late check-out can be arranged subject to room availability and a surcharge will be applied.

    Transfer to the airport in Ho Chi Minh City for your onward flight. Tour ends after arriving at the airport.
