Day 1: Arrival to Yangon

Day 2: Yangon – Bagan – Whole day sightseeing in Bagan (By morning flight/By Coach)

In the early morning, transfer to Yangon airport and leave for Bagan, upon arrival in Bagan, transfer to hotel and visit Shwezigon Pagoda, the prototype of later Myanmar stupa and Kyansittha U Min, a tunnel with an interesting feature of paintings. Soemingyi Okkyaung, Nagoyone Temple, Apeyadana Temple and Wetkyiin Gubaukki Temple. Andanda Temple, the architecture masterpiece, Thatbyinnyu Temple, the tallest in Bagan and Gawdawpalin Temple, Htilominlo Temple, noted for its plaster carving, Khay Min Ga Temple and Tharaba Gate. Day 3: Bagan – Mandalay – Amarapura – Ava – Sagaing (By morning flight / By Coach)

Breakfast at hotel, transfer to Bagan airport , flight to Mandalay to continue our beautiful Myanmar Holiday. Upon arrival to Mandalay, excursion to Amarapura, an ancient capital of Myanmar, where we can observe the life of over 1000 monks at Mahagandayon. Visit Bagaya Kyaung and famous U Bein’s teak bridge. After that,  drive to Sagaing, cross the Inwa Bridge, you see the hilltops, each crested with a pagoda, the banners proclaiming the Buddha's teaching, the refuge from all ills and tribulations where over 600 monasteries for monks and nuns are located for Buddhist studies and meditation. Visit to Sagaing Hill , Padamyazedi , U min Thonze or thirty caves pagoda has many Buddha images in a crescent shaped colonnade. Mural paintings can be seen in the Tilawkaguru cave temple, which was built around 1672. Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin Pagoda nearby was constructed in 1312. The view of Sagaing from Soon Oo Pon Nya Shin and its approach is marvelous. After that drive back to Mandalay, one the way, visit to Ava; an ancient city of Burma King in 1783. In evening, transfer to Mandalay. Lunch at local restaurant.

Day 4: Mandalay – Heho – Inle Sightseeing (By morning flight/by coach / by boat)

Day 5: Inle – Heho – Yangon (By morning flight) – Departure from Yangon – Hanoi

Day 6: Hanoi city tour

Today, we enjoy a full day city tour of this charming capital city including the mausoleum of the nation's founder Ho Chi Minh (close on Monday & Friday), the Presidential Palace, the Ho Chi Minh's house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the impressive Ethnologic Museum (or Museum of Fine Arts, Army Museum, History Museum, Woman Museum, Hoa Lo Prison), the beautiful West Lake, the Tran Vu Pagoda, the peaceful lake of the Restored Sword.

Day 7: Hanoi – Hoa Lu – Tam Coc – Hanoi

Depart your hotel this morning at 0800 for the 2-hour drive through rural northern Vietnam to the site of Vietnam's first capital, Hoa Lu. Ready the bikes and start the trail route cycling to the temples dedicated to Emperor Dinh Tien Hoang of the Dinh Dynasty (968-80), and Emperor Le Dai Hanh of the Le Dynasty (980-1009). The ancient Hoa Lu Citadel (most of which has since been destroyed) once covered an area of three square kilometers.

Continue to Tam Coc through stunning limestone karst valleys surrounded by picturesque fields and villages, along the way stop where you wish to take photographs. On arrival in Tam Coc have a Vietnamese lunch. After your meal board your private sampan for a leisurely 2.5-hour cruise. As the boat gently slices through the water, notice the enormous limestone karsts jutting out from the green rice fields giving rise to Hoa Lu's other name, "Halong on Land". Should you feel adventurous climb up to Bich Dong Pagoda on nearby Ngu Nhac Mountain, dating to 1428 and comprising three structures: Ha, Trung, and Thuong Pagodas, in ascending order. Following its back by sampan to Tam Coc town before returning to Hanoi by vehicle where you arrive in the late afternoon.

Day 8: Hanoi – Halong Bay Cruise

We start at 8.00 A.M for the 3 hour drive (170 km) through the Red River Delta, which offers plenty of chances for taking photos of Vietnamese farmers tilling the vast green paddy fields. At half way, we'll have a visit to a handicraft workshop with fine clothes, embroidered paintings, stone statuettes and all kinds of gems mined in Vietnam such as star rubies or sapphires... Our destination is the World Heritage Site of Ha Long Bay. The bay offers some 3000 mountain islands and islets towering in the Gulf of Tonkin in the East Vietnam Sea.

Day 13: Hoi An Cooking Class

Cooking class and tasting Vietnamese food can be special and highlight for your Indochina tours. We start the day (8.15am) with a welcome drink at Hai Café (98 Nguyen Thai Hoc Street, Hoi An Ancient Town, Tel: 863210) – our meeting point.
Visit Hoi An’s colourful market, and experience the amazing sights, sounds and aromas of this busy market. We will have the opportunity to interact with the local sellers and learn about all the ingredients to be used in the cooking lesson later.
We board the Red Bridge boat for a leisurely cruise (25 minutes) along the Hoi An River to the Red Bridge Cooking School. This is a chance to view local river life, so make sure your camera is handy.

On arrival, we explore the cooking school’s herb garden, before learning about some of Hoi An’s and Vietnam’s well-known dishes. The cooking lesson runs for about 2 hours – the Red Bridge chefs first demonstrate each dish before we prepare the same dish ourselves. Included in the class is a brief introduction to Vietnamese food carving (plate decoration). After the lesson, we sit down and eat what we have cooked. Bring your swimsuit and after the cooking tour has finished relax and enjoy free use of our new 20 metre swimming pool.

Today we will start our exploration of the Mekong Delta, a major rice producing area. This must be one of the most fascinating riverine deltas in the world.
